Sovereign Brass
Formed in 1987 and based in Wednesbury in the West Midlands, Sovereign Brass has achieved a reputation as one of the country’s leading brass bands in both the concert and contest fields. Within only two years of its formation, they won the Fourth Section Midland Area Championships, going on to win the Third, Second and finally the Championship section in consecutive years, making their first appearance at the Royal Albert Hall in 1992, then in 2023 became First Section Midlands Area Champions.
Further contest successes have most notably seen the Band become French Open Champions and twice been crowned Pontins Harry Mortimer Memorial Champions of Great Britain amongst others.
Sovereign has had the privilege of performing at some of the finest concert halls in the country, including Symphony Hall in Birmingham and of course the Royal Albert Hall in London. Sovereign Brass are grateful for the continued support of SPAL Automotive.
